If you’re a dedicated underwater photographer, Hurghada is a must-visit in Egypt’s diving capital.
While snorkeling around Erg Somaya and Shawan’s coral reef island of Giftun, you’ll come across a stunning underwater garden that surrounds the coral reef islands, and it’s a must-see for anybody interested in marine life.

Many species of fish may be found in the waters around the island: butterflyfish and rainbow wrasse; moray eels; Napoleon fish; turtles; grouper fish; dolphins; blacktip sharks; and surgeonfish schools.

Known for its alcyonarians, Erg Somaya is a collection of Giftun Islands with a depth of 100 meters.

Safaga is a terrific place to dive because of the excellent visibility and moderate currents that define the area’s waters.
A wide variety of species may be seen in the beautiful coral gardens, notably around Ras Abu Soma and Sha’ab Tobia.
It is impossible not to have an amazing time when diving in this picturesque fishing harbor, whether it is at Tobia Arbaa, Panorama Reef, the Middle Reef, or the Salem Express wreck.

One may find Napoleon fish, parrot fish, barracuda and grouper as well as clown and rockfish and stingrays in the water. There are also many different kinds of sharks and turtles.

The pelagic biodiversity of Ras Abu Soma and Sha’ab Tobia is well-known. Panorama Reef is home to some of the world’s most extreme diving.
The center reef is excellent for night diving.
M.V. Hatour, in route from Salem to Al Kahfain through the M.V. Hatour, has derailed and sunk.
From El Gouna to Safaga, the distance is considerable.
