History:

The Temple of Seti I, erected by Seti I, the son of Ramses I and father of Ramses II, is surrounded by palm trees in a beautiful setting..

In honor of Ramses I’s son Seti II, the temple was built. In Egypt, Seti I is renowned as one of the country’s greatest rulers and builders.

Abydos and Karnak’s Great Hypostyle Hall are two of the most impressive temples in the area that he completed.

When it comes to the artwork and structures commissioned during Seti’s reign, it is obvious that no expense was spared, and that great attention was made in every element.

It was his son Ramses II who finished the Temple after he died, although he died before it could be finished.

Besides the temple, there is a palace and a chapel honoring Ramses I.
